Dear NCADP supporter:
At long last, we are proud to announce the launching of NCADP's new website, which you can see at www.ncadp.org
Highlights of the new site include:
Seperate pages for state affiliates, with state-specific information on the death penalty and on how to contact the local affiliate. Affiliates will have the password-protected ability to update their pages as often as they want. States also will have the capacity to launch their own anti-death penalty blog, create a local calendar of events and post local news items if they wish.
A new multi-media section that includes death penalty-related videos from YouTube as well as other videos from death row exonerees and law enforcement officials and murder victim family members who oppose the death penalty.
"Today in captial punishment,"an exhaustively researched feature that documents key dates (and not so key dates) in the history of the death penalty.
A blog, published concurrently with NCADP's long-running blog, Abolish the Death Penalty. This blog will include content from Abolish and also will scour other anti-death penalty blogs and web sites for interesting items.
As always, links, execution alerts and other information important to the abolition universe.
We hope you will visit our site often as we continue our efforts to abolish the death penalty once and for all!
Save the date!

Do Not Execute Heliberto Chi!
On October 3, 2007, Texas is set to execute Heliberto Chi for the March 24 2001 murder of Armand Paliotta.
The state of Texas should not execute Chi for his role in this crime. Executing Chi would violate the right to life as declared in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and constitute the ultimate cruel, inhumane and degrading punishment. Furthermore, Chi's attorney claims that he was denied the right to contact the Honduran consulate which is a right given to foreigners under the1963 Vienna Convention on consular relations.
ACT NOW by contacting Gov. Rick Perry requesting that Heliberto Chiexecution be halted!Read More and Take Action at: http://www.demaction.org/dia/organizations/ncadp/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=13727
