Gentile Direttore Esecutivo,

Se volesse inoltrare la mia lettera al Sindaco Bloomberg, le allego il testo:

Vostro Onore,

ho fiducia che lei non intenda consegnare le Chiavi della Città di New York a Papa Benedetto XVI.

Questo papa, all’epoca Cardinale Ratzinger, a capo dell’ufficio che una volta era l’Inquisizione, conosciuto poi come Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede, si è reso colpevole di aver mandato una direttiva a tutti i vescovi cattolici riguardo i crimini sessuali compiuti da preti e religiosi.

I vescovi, secondo il video presente su internet intitolato "Solicitation of Crimes by the Vatican", edito dalla British Broadcasting Company (BBC), sono stati obbligati al silenzio nei confronti delle vittime e dei loro familiari. In caso non avessero obbedito, sarebbero incorsi nella scomunica.

Purtroppo la giustizia e la carità vengono al secondo posto rispetto all’obbedienza.

In case you want to print my letter to Mayor Bloomberg, here is the text:

Your Honor:

I trust you will not be giving the Key to the City of New York to Pope Benedict XVI.

This Pope, when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, head of the former Office of the Inquisition, and now known as the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, was responsible for sending out a world-wide directive to tRoman Catholic Bishops concerning sexual crimes by priests and religious.

The bishops, according to internet information: the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) (after typing in "Solicitation of Crimes by the Vatican"), were told to silence the victims and their families. If they would not be silenced, then they were to be threatened with excommunication.

Too bad justice and charity have to take a backseat to obedience.
